Bring your friends and experience a true western hunt in the heart of Colorado. Hunters arrive at the lodge two days before the season starts. This allows everyone to get acquainted an check the rifles for accuracy. Hunters will enjoy a delicious dinner and a good nights rest at the lodge. The next morning we pack into the elk camps on gentle horses that the most novice horseman could ride. Once at camp you will have time to settle into your home for the next five days. Tents have cots and mattresses for your comfort just bring a sleeping bag. The wood stove in each tent insure warmth in on even the harshest autumn nights. Your days will be spent hunting for Elk or Mule Deer using a variety of methods from calling to spot and stalk. It is a rare day when our hunters do not see game. Elk and Mule deer wake up early and so do we. After eating a hearty breakfast its in search of big Bucks and Bulls. Sometimes we leave camp before daylight to locate the game. However, many days the bugling bulls give away their coveted hiding spots just outside of camp.

Most hunters get a shot but we never guarantee a kill. Please practice practice practice with your bow or gun before arriving at our lodge. We have a range on site and you're welcome to shoot as much as you like but not the time or place to learn to shoot your gun!

We will handle packing your meat to the lodge where it can hang in cold storage until you return. Several meat-processing companies are located nearby. We have a meat grinder on site for those do it yourself meat processors.
